BEAM MODULES

BEAM MODULES

The BEAM Certificate Program includes six modules: 

  • Strategic Problem Definition:  Students learn how to understand the nature of problems for improved resource allocation.

  

  • Budget: Students learn how to develop budgets by allocating staff and financial resources to increase the achievement of program goals and outcomes.

  • Procurement:  Students learn the procurement process including the federal, state and organizational rules and guidelines that exist for allocating funds to external entities to achieve program goals. 

​​

  • Contracts:  Students learn about contract development and execution including the development of a specific scope of work and outcomes-based expectations.

​​

  • Contract Monitoring: Students learn the contract monitoring process which includes analyzing, reporting on, and documenting a contractor’s performance.

​​

  • Financial Health: Students learn about the importance of a program’s financial health to the financial health of the organization.
